Operational Resilience Lead

Job Description We are looking for an Operational Resilience Lead to join our Group Technology team in Milton Keynes. You will develop, embed, champion and continuously improve the Group’s operational resilience capabilities, ensuring the organisation can effectively plan for, respond to and recover from disruptive events.We offer a hybrid working arrangement with one day per week in our Milton Keynes office.Key Responsibilities:
  • Define, create, and maintain operational resilience framework and group-wide documentation (e.g. Crisis Management Plan, operational resilience strategy etc).
  • Lead the communication, training, and embedding of resilience practices across the Group, through coaching and guidance
  • Plan and facilitate on the design, build and execution of resilience scenarios, working with subject matter experts across business units and central functions including Group Technology to validate response capabilities and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Hold business and technology teams accountable carrying out their resilience responsibilities.
  • Support the business to identify and map Important and Key Business Services and review associated impact tolerances for approval by the relevant governance committees.
  • Update the Operational Resilience Self-Assessment and take through governance, ensuring this provides confidence in the Group’s ability to detect, respond to and recover from severe / plausible operational disruptive events.
  • Support crisis and major incident management through triaging, prioritising, and the end-to-end management of incidents.
  • Develop and report on performance metrics to measure resilience maturity, effectiveness and improvement activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement to process, tools and capabilities based on industry best practices, lessons learned, and feedback from incident stakeholders.
  • Support cross-skilling initiatives to build capability across Operational Resilience, Cyber Response and Technology Major Incident Management (MIM
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with risk, compliance, and business continuity requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging threats and operational resilience-related regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
Experience and Skills Required:
  • Experience in a governance-focused operational resilience or business continuity role
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and embedding resilience frameworks
  • Experience in managing Crisis and major incidents
  • Strong knowledge of operational resilience principles and regulatory expectations
  • Understanding of industry best practices related to Operational Resilience and Business Continuity
  • Experience producing Executive level summaries and reports to a high standard
  • Experienced at producing high quality reports and insight to senior audiences including senior managers and governance committees
