UX Designer
Job Description We are seeking an experienced UX Designer to join our Group Technology team in Milton Keynes. As a UX Designer, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience of our new mortgage services offering. Working alongside product management and development teams, you'll leverage your expertise in user-centred design to create intuitive, accessible, and engaging experiences for our customers.Key Responsibilities:
- User Research & Insights:?Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviours, translating findings into actionable insights to inform design decisions.
- Information Architecture:?Develop and refine information architecture to ensure intuitive navigation and content organization across the mortgage services platform.
- Interaction Design:?Design user interfaces that are visually appealing and enhance user engagement, employing wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts.
- Collaboration:?Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment to ensure alignment on product goals and user experience vision.
- User Journey Mapping:?Create user journey maps and personas to identify critical touchpoints, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for users.
- Design Systems:?Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a design system, promoting consistency across all digital products and experiences.
- Feedback Integration:?Gather feedback from users and stakeholders, iterating on designs based on insights and testing to continuously improve the user experience.
- Trend Analysis:?Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in UX design, ensuring that our offerings are competitive and meet user expectations
- Preferably with a Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a UX designer
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your UX design process and outcomes; include examples of user research, wireframes, and final designs.
- Proven experience building products from 0 to 1 and proving market-fit rapidly
- Experience in the mortgage industry or financial services is a plus
- Strong understanding of agile principles and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
