Workday Process Lead- Interim

Job Description We are currently looking for an experienced and highly capable Workday Functional E2E/Process Lead to join our Workday Implementation Team in Milton Keynes.You will be required to be on site for the duration of the project with some flexibility to do the role on a hybrid basis.You will play a pivotal role in shaping, coordinating, and validating end-to-end business processes across the programme. You will bring strong process design expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a structured approach to ensuring alignment, integration, and consistency across Workday functional areas.Ideally, you will also have previous experience leading cross-functional design workshops, collaborating with implementation partners, and overseeing process governance throughout the delivery lifecycle. A solid understanding of Workday best practices and transformation-focused process optimisation is essential for this role.Key responsibilities of the Functional E2E/Process Lead:
  • Lead the end-to-end design, documentation, and validation of business processes across all relevant functional areas.
  • Facilitate cross-functional design workshops with business stakeholders, SMEs, and implementation partners to define future-state processes.
  • Ensure alignment and integration between Workday modules, identifying process interdependencies and resolving design conflicts.
  • Oversee process governance activities, including design decisions, change control, and documentation maintenance throughout the programme lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with technical and functional teams to ensure configuration reflects agreed end-to-end processes.
  • Review and challenge current business requirements to ensure they align with Workday best practices and programme objectives.
  • Support data, security, testing, and reporting workstreams by providing process insights and ensuring coherence across the programme.
  • Lead the resolution of design issues and risks, escalating where necessary and providing clear recommendations.
  • Ensure process designs are future-ready, scalable, and optimised to support organisational transformation.
  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and Workday delivery teams, ensuring consistent communication and traceability of decisions.
Experience & skills required to be successful as a Functional E2E/Process Lead:
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end process design
  • Strong understanding of Workday functionality, best practices, and configuration principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to run cross-functional workshops and manage diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process-mapping skills.
  • Experience collaborating with Workday implementation partners and internal SMEs.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and decision-tracking skills.
  • Ability to identify process interdependencies and ensure alignment across workstreams.
  • Experience supporting testing, data, reporting, and security activities from a process perspective
