Mid-Level Software Test Engineer
Education and Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role
- GCSE Maths grade C/4 (or equivalent) and GCSE English grade C/4 (or equivalent)
Technical Competencies
Required:
- Proven background in Manual Testing
- Interest in working with AI systems
- Experience with API Testing
- Experience with Linux (basic shell)
- Strong documentation skills
Ideal:
- API Testing experience using Playwright, cURL or Postman (OAuth2.0 and JWT)
- DB Testing experience with postgres/PSQL
- Experience using or testing LLM, ASR, TTS or Speech-to-Text systems
- Experience using or testing Telecommunications software
- Experience with AWS systems
Non-Technical Competencies
- Proactive in every area of work, demonstrating an ability to plan effectively and efficiently following informal discussions or feedback
- Highly analytical and strong attention to detail
- Works well both independently and part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong Time Management Skills
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to:
- Document information concisely as it becomes available
- Effectively able to disagree with reason and comfortable expressing opinions
Responsibilities
At ConnexAI, we try to ensure team members are responsible for at least one product appropriate for your experience and supporting at least one additional product. You will be:
- Participating/Leading Manual Regression and Ticket Testing
- Writing and Maintaining Manual Regression packs
- Managing Bugs throughout their life cycles
- Communicating and collaborating with a variety of teams, stakeholders across varying degrees of technical knowledge; keeping them up to date with pending, ongoing or completed testing
- Attending agile ceremonies and team meetings for planning and visibility
