The brief

Our client, a global asset management firm, is looking to hire a Senior AI Engineer to work alongside

finance, tax, and compliance professionals to build the tools they actually use. The work spans

regulatory reporting automation, multi-jurisdiction tax platforms, compliance workflow tooling, and the

engineering infrastructure that underpins all of it.

This is an operations-side role. The problems are complex, the stakeholders are senior, and the

environment is regulated. If you are used to building production AI systems where auditability, data

controls, and sound engineering judgement matter, this is an engagement where that experience

translates directly.

What you will actually build

• Regulatory reporting automation, Solvency II TPT generation from Snowflake fund position data, deployed on AKS with audit trail and shared access
• Multi-jurisdiction tax review platform, consolidate siloed tools (UK, Luxembourg, Singapore) into one unified platform with shared data pipeline
• Compliance workflow automation, 89-step approval process across five actor types, MNPI checks, decision routing, immutable audit log
• Deal origination and allocation tool, workflow automation and data extraction from deal management systems, front-end for allocations team
• Citizen developer hosting pathway, AKS deployment infrastructure for nearly 300 internally-built tools, unblocks everything else

Tech Stack

• Python, SQL (Snowflake), Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), GitHub Actions, Flux CD (GitOps), Helm
• Claude API, MCP server integration, agentic tool-use patterns, RAG, structured outputs
• Azure: AKS, Container Registry, Key Vault, Front Door, Datadog, Okta/SSO
• Bonus: DealCloud or Salesforce integration, document intelligence (OCR, PDF extraction)

What we need from you

• Solid hands-on engineering background, applied AI delivery, not research
• Production LLM API experience, shipped real agentic systems, not demos; you have opinions on why it matters
• Docker and Kubernetes are non-negotiable, you containerise, deploy, and manage applications on AKS from day one; GitOps (Flux CD or ArgoCD) is the mandatory deployment pathway
• Snowflake SQL is required, it is the primary data layer across three of five pipeline projects; columnar warehouse fluency is not optional
• Regulated environment comfort is essential, three of the five projects involve MNPI, investor data, or compliance decisions requiring audit trails and senior sign-off; you do not need to be managed on data sensitivity or access controls
• Stakeholder presence, business owners are MDs and senior finance professionals; you translate between technical and business with confidence and credibility
• Financial services operations background, fund accounting, regulatory reporting, tax, or compliance workflows; this is an operations-side role, not a front-office or deal-team one experience

We would be especially interested in people who have worked on:

• Operations-side fintech or enterprise AI in regulated financial environments
• Workflow automation platforms with approval logic and audit requirements
• Internal tooling deployed on Kubernetes with GitOps pipelines
• CRM and enterprise data integrations, Salesforce, DealCloud, or similar
• Systems where MNPI governance, data controls, and audit really matter
