DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer

West London (Hybrid, two days per week on site)

Are you a DevOps engineer who enjoys building as well as shaping how things are built? This is a chance to join a modern, mission-driven charity that's scaling fast after a recent merger. You'll work across cloud, software, and integrations to design and operate the infrastructure and delivery frameworks that power real-world impact.

You'll be the go-to technical voice for automation, deployments, and engineering practices, helping to define the standards for how services are built, tested, and released. You'll also stay hands-on with code, integrating platforms, optimising pipelines, and developing tools that make developers more effective.

You'll work alongside a small, collaborative team including a junior engineer and a DevSecOps specialist, mentoring through example and helping to guide architectural decisions. Projects range from building new digital products to improving CI/CD, observability, and automation across a growing ecosystem.

Two days each week are typically spent in the West London office, with flexibility for the rest of the week. The team is modern, supportive, and forward-thinking, offering real influence and variety in your work.

What you'll work with

Cloud and Infrastructure

AWS (preferred), cloud architecture and automation

Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code

SaaS integrations and workflow scripting

Data and Platforms

Databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, and RDS

Security and Identity

Encryption, TLS, and compliance-minded design

About you

You have strong DevOps or platform engineering experience with an interest in full stack development. You're confident with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automation in a cloud-native environment. You enjoy mentoring or supporting junior engineers, work collaboratively, and are focused on delivering quality outcomes. You balance engineering detail with organisational goals and enjoy shaping modern, efficient systems.

Why this role

This is the sweet spot between DevOps engineering and hands-on product development, a role where you can both code and influence how things are done. You'll have genuine autonomy, the ability to set technical direction, and the satisfaction of seeing your work deliver real-world impact.
