Lead Cloud Solutions Architect (Remote, Client Facing - EU/UK)

A rapidly growing technical consultancy is seeking a Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to design and support cloud-based computing environments used for advanced data science and statistical analysis in highly regulated environments.

This is a hands-on, client-facing leadership role — ideal for someone who can both architect solutions and troubleshoot complex technical environments directly with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions with clients and translate requirements into scalable cloud architectures
• Design and deploy secure, reliable computing environments for data science platforms
• Build and manage cloud infrastructure (VMs, networking, access control, monitoring)
• Support installation and migration of statistical computing environments (e.g. SAS, R)
• Troubleshoot Linux, containerised, and cloud infrastructure issues in client environments
• Lead project delivery and act as the primary technical contact for key accounts

Key Requirements

• 5+ years experience in cloud architecture / cloud engineering
• Strong Linux systems and networking experience
• Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience supporting data science / statistical computing environments
• Expert in R and/or Python
• Client-facing consulting or solutions architect background
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred)

Additional Expereince

• Experience with data science platforms (e.g. Posit, Domino, Sycamore)
• Exposure to clinical research / GxP environments
• CI/CD pipeline design and deployment
