The Opportunity
A leading global transformation consultancy is seeking a Director to join its AI leadership team. This role is positioned within a specialist unit that blends strategic, creative, and scientific capabilities to deliver data-led solutions for global clients.
As a Director, you will be a key driver of the AI Governance & Trust capability. You will focus on the design and implementation of AI regulation, ethics, and risk management frameworks, ensuring clients innovate with AI safely and within evolving legal boundaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Leadership: Drive new business development with a focus on AI Governance and Trust, managing a personal sales target of circa £2m per annum.
- Capability Development: Shape and grow a dedicated team of AI consultants, guiding recruitment, learning and development, and career progression.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain senior-level relationships across multiple sectors, acting as a subject matter expert on AI regulation, ethics, and compliance.
- Delivery Management: Lead and manage large-scale delivery programmes where data science and AI are central to the transformation.
- Thought Leadership: Create propositions and whitepapers that define the firm’s position on AI governance and the impact of global AI regulation (e.g., the EU AI Act).
Required Profile
- Consulting Pedigree: Significant experience at a senior level (Director or Senior Manager) within a Tier-1 or Big 4 management consultancy.
- Subject Matter Expertise: A proven track record in AI Governance, Regulation, and Compliance. You must demonstrate deep knowledge of how AI trends impact client risk profiles.
- Commercial Success: A verifiable history of business development and account management across the full sales lifecycle within a matrixed organisation.
- Leadership: Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams of data scientists and consultants.
