Integration Engineer

Position Title: Integration Engineer

Duration: Contract

Location: Gaydon, West Midlands

Rate: £35.80 per hour (Inside IR35)

Applicants MUST have proof of immediate, on‐going and valid eligibility to work full time, and travel within the UK.

• Lead the diagnosis of software and systems issues during the development phase of automotive vehicle platforms.
• Plan and coordinate delivery of software from multiple ECUs to deliver vehicle features and systems.
• Resolve issues, understand root causes, and support resolution of systems and software issues within the vehicle.
• Engage directly with complex issues to gather data, define problems, and analyze data to identify responsible teams.
• Determine urgency levels during initial investigations.
• Ensure accuracy of data captured for level 1 triage issue tickets.
• Maintain up‐to‐date testing assets and assist in testing complex issues and systems.
• Work with all business areas to ensure issues are understood and prioritized correctly.

• Strong knowledge of issue/defect management processes and tools.
• Proficiency in root‐cause analysis techniques and problem‐solving methodologies.
• Ability to develop, interpret, and present metrics, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
• Solid understanding of software integration principles and dependencies.
• Excellent communication skills, including leading discussions on complex or sensitive matters.
• High attention to detail and process discipline.
• Ability to identify areas of weakness and where help is needed.
• Experience working within structured project governance frameworks (e.g., PMO, programme teams). Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
• Experience maintaining and updating issue registers and tracking systems with accuracy and rigor.
• Ability to facilitate regular issue review meetings, ensuring clear ownership and timely follow‐up.

Degree or equivalent experience.
