Technical Support Engineer

Contek Recruitment are working on behalf of our client who are a prestigious UK-based manufacturer of refuse collection vehicles (RCVs). They have been a cornerstone in the industry since 1907. Specialising in designing and building safety-focused chassis, bodies, and bin lifts for waste and recycling. They Produce over 1,000 units annually, the company offers comprehensive, solutions for urban environments. The role offers a competitive salary between 40,000 - 45,000 per annum, depending on experience, with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 17:00.

Key Responsibilities:
- Handle technical enquiries from customers and internal teams.
- Deliver remote diagnostics using digital tools.
- Provide clear technical guidance, work instructions, and service bulletins.

Skills, Experience, and Education:

Communication:
- Ability to communicate confidently at a technical level.

Knowledge/Expertise:
- Strong engineering background and solid experience resolving technical issues.
- Understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems (desirable).
- Ability to read technical drawings and create clear documentation.

Innovation:
- Excellent IT skills and great time management.

Business Impact:
- Relevant engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent).

Accountabilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of technical support tasks.
