IT Programme Manager

IT Programme Manager London 3 Months Up to £750 per day (Outside IR35)

A well-established and highly profitable engineering business is seeking an experienced IT Programme Manager to support a portfolio of strategic technology initiatives on an initial 3-month contract.This is a high-profile opportunity to lead multiple business-critical programmes within an organisation undergoing significant digital transformation and an ambitious acquisition strategy. You'll play a key role in delivering complex technology change across IT, infrastructure, cloud, cyber security and enterprise applications, ensuring programmes remain on track and aligned with wider business objectives.Working closely with the Head of IT PMO, Executive Leadership, IT teams and third-party delivery partners, you'll provide hands-on programme leadership across multiple concurrent workstreams.Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex IT and business transformation programmes across Digital Transformation, Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Cloud and Enterprise Applications.
• Deliver strategic initiatives including cloud transformation, infrastructure modernisation, AI adoption and enterprise application programmes.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams, ensuring strong governance, risk management and successful delivery.
• Develop and maintain programme roadmaps, budgets, resource plans and delivery schedules.
• Lead cyber security programmes including ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus and resilience initiatives.
• Oversee enterprise application projects including ERP, HR, CRM, Service Management and systems integration.
• Manage third-party suppliers, systems integrators and outsourced delivery partners.
• Ensure programme governance, financial control, reporting and benefits realisation across all workstreams.
• Present programme updates, risks and investment proposals to Executive Leadership and Steering Committees.
• Build strong relationships across business and technology teams, influencing senior stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
• Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Business Analysts and wider programme teams.
• Support the IT PMO in embedding programme management best practice.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering large-scale IT and business transformation programmes within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong background delivering infrastructure, cloud, cyber security and enterprise application programmes.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and workstreams.
• Strong programme governance, financial management and risk management expertise.
• Experience managing third-party suppliers, systems integrators and external delivery partners.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to Executive Leadership and Steering Committees.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams within matrix organisations.
• Demonstrable experience managing programme budgets exceeding £1m.
• MSP, PgMP or equivalent Programme Management qualification desirable.
• PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent Project Management qualification desirable.
