Role Description
This is a full-time, remote/hybrid role for a Sales Account Executive, Ideally based in the Leicestershire area. The role involves identifying and generating new sales leads, managing existing accounts, fostering strong client relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Sales Account Executive will play a key role in growing the company’s customer base and driving revenue by leveraging Contona’s AI-powered solutions for e-commerce retailers.
This is a hands-on, full-cycle sales role. You'll own deals from first touch to closed-won, no handing leads off, no hiding behind a team. You'll be selling directly to e-commerce founders, marketing leads, and Shopify merchants who feel the pain of slow, expensive content production every single day.
What you'll acctually do
- Hunt: Build and work your own pipeline through outbound (email, LinkedIn, calls) and inbound leads, targeting Shopify and e-commerce brands ready to scale
- Demo: Run product demos that make people lean in, showing brands their own products transformed by AI in real time
- Close: Manage your deals end-to-end, discovery, objection handling, negotiation, signature
- Feed back: You're the voice of the market, what you hear shapes our product and positioning
What we're looking for
You don't need ten years of SaaS scars. You do need hunger, curiosity, and the ability to hold a sharp conversation with a founder or marketing director.
You'll thrive here if you have:
- 1–4 years in a sales role (SaaS, e-commerce, agency backgrounds all welcome) or a standout track record that proves you can sell
- Genuine interest in AI and e-commerce, you don't need to be technical, but you need to be curious
- Confidence running your own demos and discovery calls
- Resilience and a self-starter mentality, you make things happen rather than wait for them
- Crisp written and verbal communication
Bonus points for:
- Experience selling to e-commerce or Shopify merchants
- Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Apollo, Clay or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- A book of contacts in retail, D2C, or marketing
