Conveo is building the future of qualitative research: an AI interviewer that runs participant interviews, extracts insights automatically, and helps teams understand humans at scale.

We’re looking for our first senior design hire — a Staff Product Designer who will own product design end-to-end and help define how AI-native research tools should feel. This is a rare opportunity to shape an entire product category from the ground up.
\n
You’ll work directly with the founders, the engineering team, and customers to craft thoughtful, intuitive experiences that make complex workflows feel simple, clear, and delightful.

What you’ll do

- \nDeliver high-quality, user-centered designs that evolve Conveo’s core product surfaces and elevate the overall experience.\n
- \nDesign, prototype, and test new AI-powered workflows — from interview setup to insight synthesis — making complicated research feel effortless.\n
- \nShape the future of AI-assisted research tools, exploring new interaction models beyond current SaaS patterns.\n
- \nTurn ambiguous, high-impact problems into concrete products — from early vision, to roadmap, to launch.\n
- \nCollaborate closely with engineering, product, and leadership to define both long-term strategy and near-term execution.\n
- \nCraft high-quality UI and interaction design that sets the bar for design excellence at Conveo.\n
- \nLead design reviews and contribute to a strong culture of feedback, iteration, and craft.\n
- \nHelp establish the foundations of our design system, processes, and product design culture as our first designer.\n

Minimum requirements
\n
- \n
- \n8+ years of relevant product design experience at a product-driven tech company or high-velocity startup.\n
- \nA portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals, polished UI craft, and thoughtful end-to-end product thinking.\n
- \nExperience partnering closely with cross-functional teams to shape product direction.\n
- \nAbility to balance user needs, business goals, and multiple stakeholder inputs.\n
- \nSkilled at communicating design decisions clearly and persuasively across disciplines.\n
- \nStrong ability to influence product strategy and raise the design bar across the company.\n
- \nComfortable presenting work to company leadership through a clear and compelling story.\n
- \nExperience working on ambiguous, complex problems spanning multiple product areas.\n

Preferred qualifications

- \nExcitement about designing for AI-native products and strong opinions about what makes a great AI experience.\n
- \nExperience designing tools for technical or expert users (researchers, analysts, builders, etc.).\n
- \nComfort prototyping quickly — whether in Figma, code, or with AI tools — and leading through experimentation.\n
- \nAbility to craft and advocate for new design patterns and interaction models beyond existing design systems.\n
- \nStartup experience (or a strong desire to build in a small, fast-moving team).\n
- \nPassion for helping others grow and raising design maturity across the organization.\n
