Contract Windows 11 Rollout Engineer

Our client is a large Managed Service Provider who are seeking a Windows 11 Rollout Engineer, to cover a 4-6-week project on a contract basis in Barrow-in-Furness. This is a contract with an immediate start next week.

As a Rollout Engineer, you will deploy new laptops with Windows 11, ensuring optimal performance and security whilst being responsible for transferring essential data from outdated devices in accordance with minimum requirements. You will provide comprehensive handover sessions to ensure users are fully familiar and trained with their new devices.

Key responsibilities:

• Deploying Windows 11 across multiple devices efficiently and effectively
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the Windows 11 rollout
• Working closely with internal teams to ensure minimal interruption during the installation process.
• Providing technical support and training to post-deployment
• Creating detailed deployment documentation and reports
• Conducting compatibility assessments of hardware and software
• Collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to meet rollout deadlines

Core skills & experience for this role:

• Solid experience in rolling out Windows operating systems
• In-depth understanding of Windows 11 deployment processes and tools
• Experience supporting end users during desktop migrations
• Familiarity with hardware imaging, device drivers, and basic networking
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Ability to create comprehensive documentation and reports
