Project Manager (Change & Innovation Lead)

The role:

We are currently working exclusively with a successful specialist banking business in Cardiff. Reporting to Head of IT the role of Project Manager (Change & Innovation Lead). This newly created role of Project Manager (Change & Innovation Lead) will lead the banks change agenda, ensuring the successful delivery of business critical initiatives, operational improvements & technology transformation. The role provides end-to-end oversight of change across the business, embedding governance & driving innovation (including AI) and ensuring business readiness and continuity.

  • Oversee the delivery of key programmes and projects
  • Own and maintain the enterprise change framework, ensuring consistent delivery in line with project plans
  • Provide central oversight of all change activity, including strategic transformation & operational improvements
  • Chair and/or support governance forums ensuring initiative prioritisation, capacity management and risk mitigation
  • Ensure all change activity is aligned to business strategy & risk appetite
  • Lead the identification & implementation of innovation initiatives with a firm focus on AI & automation
  • Strong oversight of the Banks testing program in partnership with Head of IT and Head of Customer Services

The Person:

  • Proven experience of leading change if transformation functions ideally within financial services sector
  • Strong experience of providing company-wide change oversight including governance, prioritisation and reporting
  • Proven track record of delivering complex programmes and projects
  • Strong understanding and hands on experience of UAT frameworks
  • Some experience of driving AI, automation or innovation initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrate the ability to balance innovation and change with the control applicable within a regulated environment

Salary:

£45k - £70k (doe) plus bonus, pension & 25 days holiday
