The Opportunity

Our client, a leading provider of security and communications technology solutions, is looking for a Channel Account Manager to support the growth of its Video Security and Access Control portfolio across an assigned territory.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with channel partners, identifying new business opportunities and driving revenue growth. This is a customer-facing, commercially focused position suited to an experienced sales professional with a background in video security, access control or physical security solutions.

You will play a key role in supporting partners to maximise sales opportunities, develop their knowledge of the product portfolio and deliver effective security solutions to their customers.

The Role

  • Manage channel partner relationships: Build and maintain strong partnerships, helping resellers understand the product portfolio and how the solutions can add value to their customers.

  • Drive sales growth: Identify, develop and convert sales opportunities across video security and access control products and services, increasing revenue and expanding the customer base.

  • Identify new business: Proactively source and onboard new channel partners and resellers to strengthen market coverage and unlock additional revenue opportunities.

  • Support partner sales activity: Work alongside channel partners to progress opportunities, support end-user sales and help the wider sales team secure new business.

  • Provide product and technical guidance: Ensure partners understand the solutions available and have access to the appropriate training to successfully deploy and sell the products.

  • Coordinate orders and distribution: Assist partners with order processing and returns through the established distribution network.

  • Manage sales pipelines: Maintain accurate records of leads, projects and account activity using CRM and sales tracking systems.

  • Contribute to sales planning: Work with territory leadership to establish and achieve quarterly and annual sales targets for assigned partners.

  • Forecast revenue: Monitor sales performance and provide accurate forecasts across weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting periods.

  • Collaborate across the business: Work closely with Channel Sales Executives, Business Development Managers, Inside Sales and Sales Engineering teams to maximise commercial opportunities.

The Candidate

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:

  • Extensive experience in video security solutions sales, including experience in a transactional sales environment, and experience in a customer-facing commercial role.

  • Experience within physical security solutions, CCTV, video surveillance or access control would be advantageous.

  • A proven ability to generate new business through proactive prospecting and consistent sales pipeline development.

  • A strong track record of achieving sales targets and building productive, long-term customer relationships.

  • Good technical understanding, with the confidence to communicate product features, benefits and solutions to customers and partners.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, alongside the ability to deliver engaging presentations.

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to analyse sales activity, manage opportunities and forecast revenue accurately.

  • An understanding of channel sales strategies and the reseller business model.

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Confidence using CRM platforms, sales databases and other business software.

  • A willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, with travel expected to account for at least 50% of your time.

An established network of channel partners or customers within the territory would be beneficial.
