Rf Engineer
As an RF Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and verifying complex RF sub-systems used in high-performance software-defined radio systems. You'll work closely with our clients team to input into the design and quality of electronic sub-systems, and collaborate with support functions to deliver projects on time and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and verify complex RF sub-systems
- Collaborate with software, firmware, and mechanical engineering teams
- Estimate, plan, and execute work to build business confidence and deliver projects
- Use SPICE, electromagnetic, and signal integrity simulators, alongside Mentor Graphics tools
- Utilize RF test equipment and custom test solutions to verify circuit performance
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in RF and analogue circuit design, simulation, implementation, and verification
- Broadband power amplifier and transmit/receive switch design experience
- RF transmit/receive cascade design and analysis skills
- EM and large-signal RF simulation experience
- Good understanding of the electronics component market and current offerings
- Integration and test of PCB assemblies and systems
- Requirements elicitation and management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
This role requires a minimum of 2 days onsite in Edinburgh, while the rest can be conducted remotely.
