Data Engineer

Job summary

Designing, developing and maintaining data ingestion, transformation and integration processes across multiple business systems. Building and optimising ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory. Developing and supporting modern data warehouse architectures, including bronze, silver and gold data layers. Integrating data from clinical, operational, HR and finance systems to create reliable and accessible datasets. Creating and maintaining logical and physical data models while implementing robust data quality controls and governance practices. Monitoring, troubleshooting and optimising data pipelines and warehouse performance to ensure efficient processing and reporting. Collaborating with BI Developers and Power BI specialists to deliver reporting datasets, semantic models and analytics solutions. Producing technical documentation, including data mappings, transformation logic and deployment procedures. Supporting testing, deployment, knowledge transfer and the transition of solutions into business-as-usual support.

Main duties of the job

Significant experience delivering data engineering, BI and analytics solutions, including the development of scalable cloud-based data platforms. Strong technical expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses, Warehouses, Pipelines and related technologies, alongside strong SQL and PySpark knowledge. Experience implementing data quality, governance and lineage frameworks, with a focus on delivering trusted and reliable data solutions. Proven experience developing Power BI solutions, including semantic models and reporting capabilities. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Degree-level education in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience, together with a proactive and delivery-focused approach. Experience within healthcare or regulated environments would be advantageous

Cora Health is embarking on an exciting transformation of its enterprise reporting and analytics capabilities through the implementation of a new cloud-based data warehouse built on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric. We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to help design, build and optimise data solutions that support operational, clinical and corporate reporting across the organisation. Working closely with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Solution Architects and key business stakeholders, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering scalable, secure and high-performing data platforms that drive better insight and decision-making.
