Project Manager

Job summary

Ensure projects are initiated and delivered in line with the organisation's project management framework and standards. Monitor and manage project progress against objectives, keeping stakeholders fully informed of progress, risks, issues, and dependencies. Collaborate with stakeholders to define detailed project scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria linked to business benefits. Coordinate project team activities, allocate resources, and manage budgets and financial targets. Prepare and present project information to programme boards and support effective decision-making. Maintain accurate project documentation, plans, and records using project management tools. Identify and track financial benefits, including measurable outcomes such as cost savings and efficiencies. Support organisational change and transition, including service design, go-live readiness, and post-implementation activities. Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to maximise value delivery. Attend CAB and contribute to release management, prioritisation, testing, and validation. Provide project management support across the organisation and assist the Portfolio Manager in team capability development.

Main duties of the job

The Project Manager is responsible for delivering IT projects in line with agreed timeframes, scope, and budget. The role provides professional project management expertise across the organisation, working closely with key stakeholders to drive engagement, alignment, and adherence to delivery processes. This includes ensuring projects have clear objectives, well-defined scope, measurable benefits, and effective transition into live service, while supporting the wider change framework and team capability development.
