Python Software Engineer - UK Remote

Embarking on an exciting phase of growth, our client in the environmental sciences domain is seeking a talented Python Software Engineer to come onboard. Reporting to the Lead Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with the development teams, utilising agile methodologies to deliver new features and maintain their suite of tools.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive Python programming expertise.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, Docker containers, JavaScript, and Node.js.
• Strong grasp of Git version control system.
• Familiarity with automated tooling for continuous integration.
• Comprehensive understanding of the development lifecycle.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in geospatial data processing and other Python libraries desirable.
• Familiarity with Anaconda and Conda tools, and web protocols advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team throughout the application lifecycle, from design to debugging.
• Ensure the reliability and security of the production environment in collaboration with the operations team.
• Maintain compatibility with legacy systems and facilitate smooth data migration.
• Stay updated with the latest development software and technologies.
• Uphold quality through rigorous testing methodologies and proper documentation.
• Actively contribute to team processes and tools to enhance performance.

Pay and Benefits:

• c£50,000 - £60,000
• 5% share options.
