Company Overview:
We are working with a leading general contractor/consultancy involved in the delivery of high-tech data centre facilities across Europe. Due to continued growth and the award of a major Data Centre project in Amsterdam, we are seeking a BIM Coordinator to join the team onsite.
Role Overview:
As the BIM Coordinator, you will support the development, coordination, and implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes on a high-value data centre project. You will collaborate closely with design consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure all BIM deliverables meet project, client, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate BIM models from multiple disciplines (architecture, structural, MEP) to ensure clash-free, coordinated design.
- Collaborate with the design and construction teams to manage and maintain the Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Perform clash detection using Navisworks and communicate issues to relevant teams.
- Support the BIM Manager in the development and enforcement of the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
- Ensure model updates are performed regularly and reflect design changes accurately.
- Support 4D sequencing and integration of model data with construction schedules.
- Assist in data extraction for quantities, procurement, and planning.
- Conduct BIM coordination meetings and produce visual model-based reports for project stakeholders.
- Provide on-site BIM support during construction to ensure models reflect as-built conditions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a BIM Coordinator or similar role, preferably on mission-critical or large-scale commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of BIM workflows, data exchange standards, and ISO 19650 compliance.
- Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (or equivalent CDE platforms).
- Experience working on live construction sites and coordinating subcontractor inputs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- EU work authorization or existing right to work in the Netherlands is essential.
