Founding Full Stack Developer (Manchester Area)

Founding Full Stack Engineer | Early-Stage AI Startup | Equity + Autonomy

Are you a full stack engineer who wants to build something from the ground up, shape a product with real-world impact, and have a genuine stake in the business?

We're partnered exclusively with a well-funded, Manchester-based AI startup that’s solving a huge problem in a legacy-heavy industry.

They’ve got strong early traction with paying customers, are part of a global accelerator programme, and are now ready to grow their founding engineering team.

You’ll be joining as the first technical hire beyond the founders – someone who’s ready to lead the build of scalable, user-facing products that leverage the latest in AI and data automation.

You'll work closely with a hands-on founding team with a track record of building successful tech companies.

🔧 What You'll Be Doing

  • Building and scaling a greenfield SaaS platform from MVP to production
  • Designing clean, maintainable solutions across the stack (frontend, backend, infra)
  • Collaborating with product leads and real users to guide technical direction
  • Laying the groundwork for a future engineering team

✅ What They're Looking For

  • Strong full stack experience (React, TypeScript, Python, and Node)
  • Exposure to cloud-native architecture and devops tooling
  • Comfortable working with APIs, building secure, scalable software
  • Bonus: Experience with ML/AI tooling or early-stage product environments

🎯 What’s on Offer

  • Up to £90k + generous equity (pre-allocated options pool)
  • Full autonomy and technical ownership
  • Monthly on-site collaboration with the founding team (Manchester city centre based)
  • A fast-moving, no-nonsense team that values builders over buzzwords

This is a rare opportunity to get in early, build meaningful software, and take ownership of a product that’s already delivering real value.
