Junior Software Engineer

Junior Software Developer | Nottingham | Up to £30,000 | 2 days hybrid

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established Nottingham software house for a Junior Developer to join a close-knit engineering team.

The project

You'll be working on the company's flagship platform, a major ongoing programme migrating legacy products into a single modern system running entirely in Azure. AI is woven throughout the development workflow, with GitHub Copilot licences for the whole team and a real focus on integrating AI capabilities into the product itself.

What they're looking for

- Around 9 to 12 months of commercial development experience, or a Computer Science degree with a placement year completed

- A placement year is essential for graduate applicants, it's the baseline, not a nice-to-have

- Solid understanding of C# and object-oriented principles

- Familiarity with SQL Server and relational databases

- Comfortable with the fundamentals of cloud computing, Azure experience is a bonus

- Someone who'll contribute to the team, not just the ticket queue

The package

- Salary up to £30,000

- 35 hours per week

- 6 weeks holiday

- 2 days hybrid working from central Nottingham
