Principal Solutions Architect
Principal Solutions Architect (Enterprise / Pre-Sales Focus)
Fully remote, Salary Up to £140,000 + Benefits
We’re supporting a large, well-established organisation delivering complex, high-impact programmes across regulated sectors in the UK.
They’re looking for a Principal Solutions Architect to sit at the front of major transformation opportunities shaping, designing and helping secure large-scale deals, before guiding them through into delivery.
This is a highly strategic, client-facing role, blending architecture, commercial thinking, and stakeholder engagement at enterprise scale.
The role
- Lead solution design for large, complex transformation programmes (£20M–£100M+)
- Act as the technical lead across pre-sales / bid activity (RFPs, RFIs, proposals)
- Shape opportunities early — working with stakeholders before formal procurement
- Define solution strategy, differentiators, and technical approach
- Own high-level estimation, commercials, and solution viability
- Work closely with delivery teams to ensure what’s sold is practical and implementable
What they’re looking for
- Strong background in pre-sales / solution architecture on enterprise-scale deals
- Experience contributing to or leading large bid responses and client pursuits
- Solid grounding in cloud and digital platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Exposure to c ustomer, case management or contact centre platforms (e.g. CRM, CX tools)
- Ability to balance technical design with commercial awareness
- Comfortable operating in client-facing, stakeholder-heavy environments
Nice to have
- Experience in public sector or highly regulated industries
- Exposure to AI, data platforms or modern digital transformation programmes
- Broader knowledge across DevOps, security, or platform engineering
Why it’s interesting
- You’ll operate at the front of major deals, not just delivery
- Real influence on how large programmes are shaped and won
- Mix of strategy, architecture, and commercial impact
- Opportunity to work on high-value, business-critical initiatives
