Senior Python Developer

Contract Python Developer | Remote (UK Hours) | 3 Months | FastAPI | GCP | Kubernetes

I'm working with a growing SaaS company operating in the legaltech space - they’re on a mission to make enterprise data more accessible, searchable, and litigation-ready.

They're now looking for a Contract Python Developer to support a key platform transformation project, moving from a serverless architecture to a containerised Kubernetes setup. You’ll work closely with senior engineering leaders and have a direct impact on the scalability of their product offering.

What’s involved?

• Replatforming critical backend systems
• Building and refining APIs using FastAPI
• Collaborating with frontend engineers working in React
• Deploying to GCP and supporting Kubernetes deployment workflows
• Working in a tight-knit, remote-first UK engineering team

Key Tech:

• Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, etc.)
• GCP (App Engine, Cloud Functions, etc.)
• Kubernetes (deployment focus)
• Elasticsearch (nice to have)
• React (frontend collaboration)

Details:

• Fully Remote (UK hours) - Candidates must have full RTW in the UK
• 3 Month Contract
• Budget: Flexible depending on experience – happy to share top, mid, and baseline rates
• 1-stage interview process
• UK-based preferred (especially North), but open across the UK
