Senior Full Stack Engineer

At Cosegic, we're redefining how financial firms approach compliance, using smart design, AI-driven insight, and automation that truly empowers people, not processes.

We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale our next-generation compliance platform from the ground up. You'll work across Laravel, React, and Azure, taking ownership of architecture, mentoring others, and shaping the technical direction of a fast-moving, high-impact product. This is your opportunity to make your mark in a startup-style environment with the stability, backing, and ambition of an established firm.

About Cosegic

Cosegic is one of the UK's leading compliance consultancies, now investing heavily in a technology-led future. We are building an internal product and engineering organisation with full support from the board and C-suite — a skunkworks-style team inside a 22-year-old firm, focused on developing modern regtech products that will define the next phase of the business.

The Role

We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and scale the next generation of Cosegic's compliance platform. You will work across backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure while helping to shape the technical direction of a new product line.

This is a hands-on engineering role with significant autonomy. You will use Laravel as the core backend framework, React for the frontend, and deploy using a modern delivery stack including Azure, Vercel, Neon, and Inngest.

You'll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Compliance to deliver secure, reliable, user-centred systems.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Laravel (core requirement).
  • Develop high-quality user interfaces and workflows using React.
  • Design and operate cloud-native services within Azure, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and application services.
  • Work with Vercel, Neon, and Inngest to enable fast iteration, scalable execution, and event-driven automation.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, technical design, and platform evolution.
  • Strengthen engineering practices across testing, reliability, and security.
  • Mentor mid-level engineers and contribute to a high-trust, high-standards engineering culture.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong commercial experience (typically 6–10 years) as a full stack engineer.
  • Deep hands-on Laravel experience (non-negotiable).
  • Strong experience building modern frontend applications with React.
  • Proficiency operating and deploying in Azure environments.
  • Familiarity with modern developer platforms such as Vercel, Neon, and Inngest or the ability to learn them quickly.
  • Ability to design and reason about architecture, scalability, and security.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a product-led environment.
  • Bonus: experience in fintech, regtech, or regulated industries.

Why Join Us

  • Work in a fully-backed, high-autonomy engineering team building a greenfield platform.
  • Shape the technology foundations of a company transitioning from consultancy to product-led delivery.
  • Use modern tools and engineering practices to build impactful, user-centred products.

Benefits and Perks

  • Hybrid working from our London, Cannon Street office
  • Ability to work from abroad (up to 21 working days per year)
