An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Service Manager has arisen within the Clinical Solutions Team to Support the Digital Transformation Programme
Accountable to the Head of Clinical systems, the Assistant Service Manager will provide support to the Work Stream lead in delivering effective operational support and engagement with the clinical divisions during the upgrade programme.
The post holder will provide leadership and management skills to enable the Digital transformation team to meet its agreed aims and objectives within an efficient, effective and safe working environment.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for ensuring that day to day engagement activities are undertaken including engagement meetings, development of testing plans and that operational workflow reviews are documented and reviewed.
The ability to identify process waste and variance and understand impact of systems on operational pressures is essential, as is the ability to problem-solve and provide solutions in order to improve engagement.

The Trust's services are provided from three locations: o The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 473 general and acute beds. o Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 60 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility. o Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population. Person Specification
Qualifications
- Diploma / NVQ level IV in an administrative subject or equivalent
- Supervisory / Management certificate or qualification or relevant experience
- Evidence of managing a team
- Strong IT skills - Microsoft Excel / Access/ Word / PowerPoint / Outlook
- RSA typing III or equivalent experience
Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of target management
- Experience of financial and budgetary management
- Experience of people/HR management
- Proven ability in analytical skills and managing and analysing information and data
- IT literate - Proficient in using Microsoft office applications and other software applications
- Experience in healthcare management
