Account Executive

If you are an experienced SaaS sales professional who enjoys closing deals and wants to work in a fast growing software business serving the construction industry, Countfire could be a great fit.

We are looking for an Account Executive to own the full sales cycle, from discovery through to close. You will be working with electrical contracting businesses mainly across the UK and US, helping them see the value Countfire delivers and converting opportunities into long-term customers.

This is a role with real ownership. You will work closely with our SDR, marketing, and customer success teams, and you will have a hand in shaping the sales process as we move into larger accounts.

What kind of person are we looking for?

  • Someone with 3+ years of closing experience in a B2B SaaS business, with a track record of hitting quota
  • A consultative seller who listens well, understands the customer situation, and positions solutions accordingly
  • Comfortable running a full sales cycle on your own, from first call to signed contract
  • Experienced with SMB and mid-market accounts, with an interest in moving into larger enterprise deals over time
  • Organised and process-driven. You keep your CRM accurate, forecast honestly, and know your pipeline well
  • A strong communicator, confident on calls and clear in writing, with the ability to run a compelling demo
  • Someone who takes the time to build genuine product knowledge and understand the industries you sell into
  • Someone who is confident in their sales ability but genuinely curious about the industry they are selling into. You will be joining a team with deep domain knowledge and the expectation is that you respect that, learn from it, and build trust over time
  • A team player who works well with SDRs, specialists, marketing, and customer success to improve results across the board
  • Comfortable working remotely with a high degree of autonomy

What will the role involve?

  • Owning the full sales cycle from qualified opportunity through to close
  • Running discovery calls to understand what prospects need and whether Countfire is the right fit
  • Delivering product demonstrations that connect what the software does to the specific challenges each prospect and their business faces
  • Building relationships with the right people within target accounts, including estimators, operations leads, and business owners
  • Developing account plans for larger opportunities with longer sales cycles
  • Working with the SDR on handoffs and giving feedback on lead quality and targeting
  • Collaborating with customer success to make sure new customers get set up well after signing
  • Keeping your pipeline and activity data accurate in Close.io and contributing to weekly forecast calls
  • Feeding market insight, common objections, and competitor information back to product and marketing
  • Reviewing your own calls and looking for ways to improve your approach over time
