Main duties of the job
Working closely with our IT teams and end-users, you will ensure the reliable operation and support of our clinical systems, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
You will need to be customer focused, pro-active, possess strong communication skills, confident IT skills and a strong work ethic. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team, committed to working together in supporting our clinical services.
You will be administering clinical IT systems, reviewing and granting access requests and supporting end users on the systems you are assigned to support.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

The post holder will provide administrative support to the Systems & Delivery team.
The post holder will provide servicedesk / helpdesk support for the Trust clinical IT systems.
The post holder will assist with systems access control duties.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 GCSE Grade C or above must include English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- IT qualification (GCSE / A-Level or equivalent)
- Vocational IT qualifications (eg ECDL)
- A good comprehension of NHS clinical software.
- Customer Service training or qualifications
- NVQ level 3 in Business Administration / experience.
Experience
- Experience of providing administrative or technical support.
- Experience of communicating directly and indirectly with senior personnel.

Special Skills & Knowledge
- Good knowledge/ability/confidence to use appropriate computer hardware and software, e.g. Microsoft Office, internet browsers and file management.
