The Opportunity
We’re supporting a critical programme focused on delivering resilient, high-availability infrastructure for SAP workloads in a secure environment.
This is a hands-on DevOps / Infrastructure role where you’ll play a key part in designing, building, and maintaining highly available SAP platforms on AWS, ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational resilience.
You’ll be working in a complex, high-impact environment, collaborating with DevOps, infrastructure, and SAP teams to deliver robust HA/DR solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Configure and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) environments for SAP workloads
- Design and implement High Availability (HA) clusters using Pacemaker / Corosync
- Configure HA for SAP HANA databases and application components
- Build and support multi-Availability Zone SAP architectures on AWS
- Implement automatic failover mechanisms and virtual IP configurations
- Integrate SAP HANA System Replication with clustering technologies
- Deploy HA infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
- Conduct HA/DR testing, failover simulations, and root cause analysis
- Work closely with DevOps and platform teams to ensure scalable and repeatable deployments
What We’re Looking For
Core Skills (essential):
- Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9)
- Proven experience with Red Hat clustering on AWS
- Deep knowledge of Pacemaker / Corosync clustering
- Experience configuring SAP HA/DR environments (HANA + application layers)
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
- Solid knowledge of SAP on AWS architectures
Nice to Have
- Experience with multi-AZ SAP deployments
- Exposure to automated failover and disaster recovery testing
- Background working in secure or regulated environments
