Senior Technical Product Owner – Northern European Hub
Location: Basingstoke, UK (3 days per week on site)
Type: Full-Time contract
Rate: £28.95 - £38.60 per hour
Our client, a leading global healthcare and pharmaceutical organisation, is seeking a Senior Technical Product Owner to join their Northern European technology team. This role will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of digital products and services that support both external customers and internal teams across the region.
Working within an agile, AI-enabled environment, you will own product strategy, roadmap prioritisation, backlog management, and value delivery, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, user needs, technical standards, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap, backlog, and delivery of digital products and services across the Northern European Hub.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritised product plans.
- Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to align priorities and drive delivery.
- Lead product decisions throughout the lifecycle, from discovery and implementation to optimisation and support.
- Monitor product performance, incidents, enhancements, and change requests, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, analytics, and emerging technologies to enhance business value.
- Ensure products are delivered in line with security, privacy, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role in an agile environment.
- Strong experience managing product backlogs, requirements, stakeholder engagement, and digital product delivery.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, or comparable enterprise technologies is advantageous.
- Experience working with AI, automation, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
