We’re seeking an experienced Delivery Lead with strong cloud engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure expertise to join a major public-sector digital programme. This role is ideal for someone who can guide delivery teams, influence technical decisions, and drive high-quality cloud-native solutions at scale.

Day Rates
- £606.43/day base
- £694.61/day incl. holiday (33 days)
SC Clearance required
Role Overview
As a Delivery Lead, you will work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to oversee the delivery of robust, secure, and scalable cloud-based solutions. You will act with authority to guide technical direction, ensure best practices are followed, and contribute to strategic decision-making across the wider business.
This role requires deep technical understanding combined with strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Technical Skills
AWS Cloud Expertise
- Strong knowledge of EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.
- Experience with serverless and containerized architectures (ECS, EKS, Fargate)
- Understanding of Well-Architected Framework and cost-optimisation principles
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK
DevOps & CI/CD
- Building and maintaining pipelines using CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
- Experience with monitoring/logging (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
Programming & Architecture
- Strong skills in Python, Java, Node.js, or Go
- Ability to design secure, scalable, cloud-native architectures
Additional Required Experience
- Driving project decisions and providing authoritative technical direction
- Building and maintaining IaC and CI/CD pipelines
- Awareness of open-source AI/ML models and integration in cloud solutions
- Awareness of RPA tools (UiPath or Blue Prism)
- Experience creating cloud solutions using JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, SQL, Docker
- Providing clear, definitive advice across diverse teams and resolving contentious issues
- Ensuring alignment with engineering standards, security, and best practices
- Working closely with production and infrastructure teams to deliver resilient, secure products
