Here’s what you will do
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will work with Credera clients and colleagues to help translate customer requirements and business intent into functional and non-functional requirements. In addition, you will collaborate with users and stakeholders ensuring alignment of requirements with strategic goals and outcomes. You will be pivotal in delivering transformative projects within the London Insurance Market. Leveraging your expertise across underwriting, claims, and policy administration, you will guide the modernisation efforts, optimising the pre and post bind processes, and understanding the intricate data flows and market platforms.
Hours
At Credera, we operate a flexible hybrid working model. This requires 3 days per week working onsite - either at client site (as required) or in your local Credera office (London, Manchester, Leeds or Newcastle).

Responsibilities and Skills
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
- Lead workshops and discovery sessions with underwriters, brokers, and managing agents.
- Capture, document, and validate business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories for London Market processes (open market, delegated authority, reinsurance).
- Process Mapping & Improvement:
- Develop detailed workflow diagrams and business process maps.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements aligned with market modernization programs.
- Provide SME insight on best-in-class practice in London Market processes.
- Drive thought leadership on modernization of market process (e.g. augmented/automated Underwriting, AI etc).
- Stakeholder Management:
- Engage senior stakeholders across syndicates, brokers, and technology vendors.
- Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical delivery.
- Solution Design Support:
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
- Participate in product design discussions and provide London Market context to technical teams.
- Market Expertise:
- Stay current with London Market modernization initiatives (e.g., Blueprint Two, Market Reform Contract).
- Stay current with developments in London Market software space with experience of one or more of the common platforms.
- Interpret regulatory filings and industry publications to inform solution design
Skills
- Domain Expertise:
- Deep understanding of London Market insurance operations, including Lloyd’s processes, subscription market, and delegated authority.
- Technical Acumen:
- Comfortable working with software vendors and platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Sequel, Send etc).
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and workflow systems; SQL and Visio experience advantageous.
- Methodologies:
- Strong experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Communication:
- Exceptional ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements.
- Regulatory Knowledge:
- Awareness of UK/EU insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
Desirable Qualifications:
- ACII or equivalent insurance qualification.
- Experience with Lloyd’s Blueprint Two initiatives.
- Technical certifications (e.g., Agile BA, Scrum Master).
