Global Trade Control Specialist - ITAR / EAR Experience

This is an exciting opportunity for a global trade control specialist with strong expertise in ITAR, EAR and UK export-control regulations to further his/her skills and ambition working for a company at the forefront of government satellite communications.

Critically, you’ll ensure product-related transfers and cross-border activities comply with all relevant export laws and internal policies. Once established, you will be supported to design, configure and maintain effective information architectures that enable the company to operate with speed and agility, whilst remaining technically compliant.

Working for a friendly, thoughtful Senior Director of Business Transformation & Compliance as part of a small team, you will:

  • Collaborate across the business with commercial, sales, operations and external partners to understand the pipeline and timing of requirements, resolve compliance queries and ensure seamless trade operations.
  • Manage day-to-day ITAR and EAR compliance, including Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA), licence checks, exemptions/exceptions, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and support applications, end-use statements, and government submissions.
  • Work with technical specialists to create and improve document repositories.
  • Provide internal training and operational guidance on ITAR/EAR and global trade compliance requirements, processes and information handling requirements.

Essential

  • Strong working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and UK export-control regulations.
  • Experience in classification, licensing, documentation management, and transactional compliance.
  • Background in international trade compliance, supply chain, legal, or a related field.
  • High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple transactions accurately.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to support and educate internal stakeholders.
