About The Role
We are looking for someone to turn our customers’ problems into software that delights them.
As a Senior Product Manager you will be the owner of multiple software development initiatives. Working closely with the customer and the technology, business, relationship management, operations, data science and governance teams you will; discover the underlying unmet needs from the customers; define and agree the outcomes and acceptance criteria; orchestrate the design of the prototype; help architect a software platform providing data ingestion, processing and analytics delivery; manage its development through the software development lifecycle, and; build measurement and product improvements processes.
As a Senior Product Manager - you will focus on the internal and external facing products and components that most require a deep data architecture understanding.
You will be part of a small team of technically-minded product managers who are in the process of transforming the organisation and its products into an end-to-end digital experience through the development of a componentised software stack.
What the job involves:
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will:
• Apply appropriate methodologies to workshops with external customers alongside the relationship managers, internal customers, sponsors and users to understand their problems, unmet needs and pain points.
• Be a customer champion internally to clearly and convincingly articulate your customers’ needs throughout the organisation in service of building the right solution.
• Design and facilitate sessions with relevant stakeholders to design wireframes and prototypes that meet their unmet needs.
• Produce and own high-quality documentation and communication to internal teams and customers.
• Lead high-level architecture design and detailed data architecture design with development scrum teams and operations teams to make the nuanced trade offs that lead to the best technical implementation and operational execution.
• Proactively manage the development of the software through our Agile process and reactively troubleshooting and problem-solve issues.
• Define and track key metrics for the long-term success of the product, learning from the data to prioritise features and enhancements.
• Own the Data Architecture discipline inside the Product function to empower and equip your colleagues to make correct and timely decisions around data solution architecture.
• Help to manage a team who own other transformation initiatives across technology, data science, operations, employee skills, governance and risk.
• Work with the Chief Product Officer to help design, develop, implement and evangelise product management frameworks, tools and processes across the entire business.
Requirements:
• You have significant experience in B2B product management with data-heavy products with a demonstrable track record in shipping products as part of a large team.
• You have a background in data solution architecture, software engineering, software systems architecture, or an education background in computer science and strong experience in CIB / CCB data and analytics.
• You have an expert understanding of the concepts and real-world applications of data architecture, transactional and analytical database design concepts and data analytics systems.
• You will have demonstrable experience in hands-on digital transformation roles where you co-designed the software and managed them through their lifecycle. • You are experienced and opinionated about applying a range of product management frameworks and concepts to help solve problems for your customers.
• You can demonstrate a first-hand understanding of a component-based cloud architecture and related principles.
• You have excellent client-facing interpersonal skills and excel at traversing from high-level concepts to low-level technical detail across highly complex systems.
Nice-to-have:
It would be advantageous if you had some of the following:
• You have experience in capital markets, investment banking, corporate or institutional banking, or in benchmarking analytics.
• You are experienced and opinionated about creating and owning Agile product roadmaps.
• A history of successfully working with geographically and culturally diverse teams on large projects.

• Experience in the application of PROSCI, CCMP or similar change management methodologies.
• Familiarity with front-end development frameworks such as Angular. • Familiarity with UX design using Figma.
• Familiarity with high-level scripting languages such as Python and R. • Strong PowerPoint skills.
The Ideal Profile
This “ideal profile” is not a list of requirements – they are above – but is meant to give some colour to the kind of person we’re looking for. If you don’t fit this profile but meet the requirements we are still keen to hear from you.
You graduated with a computer science degree and have spent most of your career around financial services and developed a deep understanding of Corporate and Investment Banking. Working across different roles you evolved a large technical generalist skillset, developing a specialism in data and analytics and focusing on solution architecture.
You have subject matter expertise but perform best when working as part of a high functioning team. You’ve developed the experience and skills to educate and influence
senior stakeholders about technology and have a reputation for tenacity and getting things done in large organisations.
You have a deep understanding of the data analytics space and innately understand the complexities and challenges of ingesting and transforming large data sets and delivering the outputs as insights and knowledge.
You believe that there is a large amount of work still to be done in improving the quality of enterprise software, especially in financial services, and you’re passionate, experienced and opinionated about the ways to do that.
