Crone Corkill are assisting a long-standing, boutique client as they look to add an Azure Automation Engineer to the team on a permanent basis. Working as part of a close-knit IT team, you’ll be key in designing, building and managing automation solutions using Azure Automation, Power Platform and Azure AI Services.This is a unique opportunity centred on scripting, automation, builds, cloud, applications and infrastructure – Designing and building in a way that you see fit.What will you do as an Azure Automation Engineer?
  • Eliminate repetitive tasks, streamline processes and integrate intelligence into systems
  • Lead the development and maintenance of Azure Automation Runbooks for operational tasks and service orchestration
  • Build Power Platform solutions to automate processes and integrate systems
  • Build solutions with Power Automate & Power Apps, connecting data sources and APIs
  • Incorporate Azure AI into apps/flows
  • Assist in the management of Azure, including VMs, Networks, Storage, Entra ID, etc
  • Establish monitoring, logging and alerting via Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
  • Assist in supporting the on-prem Windows infrastructure, using the likes of Active Directory, Hyper-V, etc
  • Apply secure by design practices to maintain compliance
  • Support M365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, etc) and security policies such as MFA and Conditional Access
What skills do you need to be an Azure Automation Engineer?
  • Strong PowerShell or Python expertise
  • Power Platform solutions – Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse etc
  • Experience with Azure AI, including Azure OpenAI and Cognitive Services
  • Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
  • IaC using the likes of ARM Templates, Azure Policy, etc
  • Azure Web Apps and Azure Functions
  • M365, Entra ID, Intune and Defender for Endpoint experience
