Cross Keys Homes is a leading registered provider of social housing, committed to making a positive impact in our communities. As our Power Platform Analyst, you'll join our small but ambitious Business Insights team and play a key role in expanding and maintaining our Power Platform solutions. Power BI reporting will be at the heart of the role, alongside opportunities to use Power Automate and Power Apps to digitise services and automate processes across the business.

This is a role for a genuine all-rounder. As well as building data models and reports, you will find yourself helping a service manager pin down exactly how a KPI should be measured, you might have to map a process that has just changed, write a SQL query for an urgent request, or show a colleague that a dashboard can do everything their spreadsheet does, and more.

What you’ll do:

• Working with colleagues across the business to understand what they need (even when they're still working it out) and turning that into practical solutions
• Developing and maintaining Power BI reports that support performance monitoring, regulatory compliance and day-to-day decisions
• Finding, querying and transforming data, mostly from our SQL Server reporting database, into reliable reporting tables
• Creating and improving Power Automate workflows that streamline our processes
• Helping to define KPIs and document business processes as they evolve
• Responding to ad hoc data requests and contributing to a wide range of analysis and reporting
• Helping us build good habits around documentation, testing and data quality as our use of the Power Platform grows
• Training and supporting colleagues, helping them grow in confidence with data

What we are looking for:

Essential

• Experience of building Power BI reports and of extracting and shaping data, ideally using SQL
• Experience of gathering and documenting requirements from non-technical users and translating them into effective technical solutions.
• Strong Excel skills and a sound understanding of data modelling and ETL processes.
• Knowledge of T-SQL and database management, together with proficiency in DAX and Power Query M.
• A quick learner, keen to develop across the whole data lifecycle, from extraction to presentation.
• A logical, organised thinker who stays calm and good-humoured when priorities shift
• Excellent communication skills, with the patience to explain things to people at every level of data confidence
• The ability to see the bigger picture and spot opportunities for improvement
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, while enjoying collaborating and learning from others
• A collaborative and customer-focused approach, with a genuine interest in social housing and using technology to improve community services.

Desirable:

• Experience of developing solutions using Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and Dataverse.
• Experience of product lifecycle management, Power Platform governance or working within a small organisation.
• Awareness of the social housing regulatory framework or experience of housing management systems.
• Willingness to travel into Peterborough at least monthly and work out of hours on occasion, as required by the role.

Qualifications:

• A degree in a quantitative discipline or relevant experience.
• Microsoft Power Platform certification.
• Professional qualification or training in data analysis and/or reporting.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
