Power Platform Developer

Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Development Manager, as a Developer within Crowe’s Data & Insights team, your primary responsibility is to drive innovation and deliver robust technical solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.

As an architect and implementer, you will transform complex business challenges into streamlined, automated processes. Your role will involve specialising in the Power Platform to develop custom applications, automate workflows, and provide actionable insights for our internal teams.

By collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will understand their unique needs and ensure that every solution aligns with Crowe’s commitment to excellence and adds tangible business value. Additionally, you will mentor junior developers, promote best practices, and research emerging features to keep Crowe at the forefront of digital transformation.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Design and implement technical solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio)

Transform business requirements into automated, efficient processes

Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions that align with business needs and add value

Collaborate with senior developers to create solutions using best practices and encourage skill development

Continuously research and integrate emerging Power Platform features to drive innovation

Technical Skills, Experience & Knowledge

3+ years of hands-on development with Microsoft Power Platform

Hands-on experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Copilot Studio)

Proven ability to design, build, and deploy canvas and model-driven Power Apps

Expertise in creating and optimizing automated business processes with Power Automate (including RPA and cloud flows)

Skills in data modelling and integration using Data verse, SharePoint, SQL, and Azure services

Knowledge of custom connectors, APIs, and integrating Power Platform with external systems

Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and delivering advanced business intelligence dashboards in Power BI

Experience of or ability to write and debug Power Fx, JavaScript, and C# for custom components and plug-ins

Skilled in requirements gathering, solution architecture, and technical documentation

Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices for Power Platform solutions

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate or Solution Architect (desirable)

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is desirable

Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900) – Recommended starting point

Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) – Core certification for developers
