Senior Vision Systems Engineer

Due to sustained growth and a long-term commitment to high-volume manufacturing at their Witney site, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Vision Systems Engineer to join the Operations Engineering Group.

As a Senior Vision Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the manufacturing processes for flagship biosensor products. You’ll bring cutting-edge vision system expertise to drive quality, consistency, and efficiency across automated production lines. Working closely with cross-functional teams in Manufacturing and R&D, you'll be involved in every stage of vision system development—from defining technical specifications to hands-on implementation and optimisation.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to define, design, and implement machine vision solutions on automated manufacturing equipment.
• Lead troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts for vision systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Analyse inspection system data, monitor KPIs, and proactively drive improvements in accuracy and efficiency.
• Document system requirements, validation protocols, and compliance measures in line with medical device regulations.

What You'll Need

• HNC, HND, or Degree in an Engineering or Scientific discipline.
• Hands-on experience integrating vision systems and automated inspection technologies (ideally Cognex, Keyence), programming in C / C#.
• Familiarity with code readers, vision libraries/frameworks (OpenCV, PyTorch), and ideally, Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Strong understanding of working within regulated environments and a detail-driven approach to documentation.
