Systems Engineer
Cure Talent are delighted to be partnered with an established engineering manufacturer developing specialist products for complex technical applications. Following continued investment and growth, they are seeking a Systems Engineer to help shape how increasingly complex products are developed, tested and delivered.
Joining as the company s first dedicated Systems Engineer, you ll work closely with the Engineering Manager to introduce practical ways of managing requirements, connecting engineering disciplines and verifying that systems perform as intended. It s an opportunity to put your systems engineering experience into practice in a business where your contribution will be visible across projects and teams.
What you ll be doing:
- Turning customer needs into clear, testable system and subsystem requirements, maintaining traceability through development and verification.
- Helping select and introduce a requirements management tool, making it straightforward for colleagues to use and keep information up to date.
- Working with engineering and physics teams to clarify interfaces, resolve conflicting requirements and support integration and testing.
- Coaching colleagues in practical systems engineering methods, building an approach that suits the business as it grows.
What we re looking for:
You ll have practical experience applying the V-model to physical products or hardware systems, including requirements definition, decomposition and verification. Your background could be in mechanical, electromechanical or another relevant engineering discipline, and you ll hold a degree in Engineering, Physics or a related subject.
You may already be a Systems Engineer, or have developed these skills within a broader engineering role. What matters is experience managing requirements across a complex product, together with the communication skills to explain your approach and bring others with you.
You ll be comfortable joining a business where processes are still developing and helping improve them step by step. You won t need to have established a systems engineering function before, and prior magnetics knowledge isn t required. You will need curiosity, a willingness to get into the technical detail and an interest in taking greater ownership.
