Business Change Facilitator

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and innovative Business Change Facilitator that is passionate about user-centred design to join the Digital Transformation Team. As an integral part of the Digital & Data Directorate in CTM, the team have a rapidly expanding portfolio of challenging and interesting projects, including electronic prescribing and medicines administration, transforming patient contact services and several smaller projects supporting direct care.

Under the guidance of the Head of Digital Business Change & Benefits, the successful candidate will be expected work collaboratively with our people services, operational and clinical colleagues and the wider digital team to support the re-design of services to improve the outcomes of our patients, citizens and families that we serve, as outlined in the Health Board's strategy CTM 2030.

Candidates will be expected to have demonstrable experience of supporting digital transformational change within a healthcare environment. Skills including; excellent engagement and stakeholder management and proven skills in change management and benefits.

As a proactive and positive member of the team, the post holder will play a key role in supporting the implementation of key transformation project objectives which will enable and support the vital work of CTMUHB.

Main duties of the job

The Business Change Facilitator will ensure that effective communication takes place to end users, the post holder will document business processes in association with clinicians and non-clinicians when implementing systems and facilitate change work as required.

To provide business change expertise to implement clinical systems and make sure that the highest of standards of business needs are met by the systems implemented.

Responsible for baselining of benefits to support with benefit realisation across the programmes.

To deliver the programmes with training and business user support as required.

Have an awareness of business/clinical issues and highlight any risks associated with the implementation.

Use specialist knowledge and experience to encourage the effective use of clinical and non-clinical information across programme areas.

Investigate innovative ways of implementing business change, researching users preferences and suggesting changes where possible to meet this.

Monitor the impact of business change activity and develop an evaluation process in order to evaluate and amend activity where necessary to improve the service offered.

Monitor data quality and report back to users encouraging/influencing change in order to increase data quality.

Work with the Business Change Manager to support benefit workshops with key stakeholders to undertake benefits identification and definition, baseline benefits and provide ongoing support for continued monitoring of benefits through to realisation.

Qualifications

Essential
  • Educated to degree level of equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel across sites within Wales in a timely manner
Desirable
  • Change Management Qualification e.g APMG Change Management Foundation

Experience

Essential
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare delivery within the NHS
  • Evidence of business change or service knowledge
  • Experience of project implementation including process analysis and mapping
  • Experience / understanding of NHS patient-based information, pathways and protocols
Desirable
  • Experience of using computer systems to an advanced level

Other role requirements

Essential
  • Ability to travel across sites within Wales in a timely manner
  • Flexible approach to work
