Job summary
The post holder will provide a dental triage service during the In Hours period to members of the public presenting with urgent dental symptoms
The post holder will be responsible for up-loading and recording accurate patient data to excel and word documents undertaken independently.
The post holder will be responsible for the booking of urgent appointments and liaising/communicating with General Dental Practices and Primary Care
Main duties of the job
- Provide a dental triage service during the In Hours period to members of the public presenting with urgent dental symptoms
- Booking appointments and liaising/communicating with General Dental Practices and Primary Care
- Uploading and recording accurate patient data to excel and word documents undertaken independently on a daily basis which forms a large part of this role
- Using Cwm Taf Morgannwg IT systems & patient software
- Cover clinical sessions across the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Salaried Dental Service footprint when required

Qualifications
- NEBDN, NVQ Level 3 Diploma or Hospital Certificate & GDC Registered
Knowledge
- Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection
- Knowledge of Patient Management Systems
Experience
- Experience and knowledge with a broad range of IT Skills and software packages
- Experience of undertaking dental triage
- Experience in a role in a dental practice/clinic environment
- Work in a Quality System Environment
Skills
- Good verbal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to deal with emotional situations.
- Organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- Welsh language skills in Speaking/Listening at Level 3 or abov
