Lead Software Engineer: Cyber Startup
Location: London (or can easily commute for two days per month to London headquarter)
We're partnering with a well-funded, cybersecurity intelligence company building a next-generation third-party and supply chain risk platform.
They are now looking to bring on a lead software engineer - someone who wants real ownership, architectural influence, and the chance to help shape the company.
The Opportunity
You’ll join as a Senior Lead Software Engineer, working closely with the Director of Engineering to:
- Design and build scalable backend services (TypeScript/Node.js + Python)
- Architect systems that ingest and process large-scale intelligence data
- Own and evolve AWS infrastructure
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code
- Establish engineering standards, patterns and best practices
- Influence architectural direction as the platform matures
- Help hire and mentor future engineers
Strong backend focus, but you’re comfortable contributing across the stack when needed.
What They’re Looking For
- 4+ years backend experience (strong TypeScript/Node.js + Python)
- Hands-on AWS infrastructure experience in production environments
- Comfortable owning problems end-to-end
- Someone who cares about doing things properly from day one
