Sales Engineer - Cybersecurity

Location: United Kingdom (Remote)

About the Company

On behalf of our client - a fast-growing, venture-backed startup closing the SSPM gap and redefining SaaS security - we're looking for a driven Sales Engineer to be the technical backbone of the sales team. This is a ground-floor opportunity at a category-defining company with a differentiated product, a razor-sharp ICP, and a rapidly expanding market as enterprises scramble to gain visibility and control over their SaaS estates.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Engineer to join the UK team. This role will partner closely with Account Executives and GTM teams to deliver technical expertise throughout the sales cycle. The Sales Engineer will play a critical role in articulating product value, demonstrating technical capabilities, and guiding customers on their journey to adopt SSPM and SaaS security solutions.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in cybersecurity and SaaS applications, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value. They are entrepreneurial, adaptable, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced startup ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical expert in customer engagements, supporting the sales process from discovery through close.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts that showcase business value and technical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to design tailored solutions addressing customer challenges in SaaS and SSPM security.
  • Provide field feedback to influence product development and roadmap decisions.
  • Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, from technical teams to executives.
  • Support partner and GTM initiatives with technical enablement and solution guidance.

Key Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or solution engineering role within cybersecurity or SaaS software.
  • Background in SaaS, Cloud, and Identity Security (preferred).
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging technical presentations, demos, and workshops.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a GTM-driven startup environment, with the adaptability to navigate shifting priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to align customer challenges to innovative solutions.

If you look like a successful applicant, somebody from our team will reach out!
