ICT Technician Apprentice

Dane Architectural Systems Holdings are seeking a motivated individual to join the team as an IT Technician Apprentice. You will gain key technical skills while assisting colleagues with daily IT support. This is a great opportunity to be part of a small, dedicated team focused on delivering quality support and driving the business forward.

Role

Daily duties include;

  • Be the first point of contact for IT problems and queries from office and remote colleagues, via phone, in person, and email.
  • Set up and configure desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Assist with system updates, patches, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Support audiovisual equipment in meeting rooms.
  • Log and track problems, undertaking root cause analysis where appropriate, to provide permanent solutions to recurring problems.
  • Ensure that all problems are dealt with in a timely and professional manner, so that colleague’s expectations are met. 
  • Create and update documentation.
  • Escalate issues to the IT manager as needed.

Training

All training will be delivered from the workplace.

The role may be a gateway to further career opportunities, such as management positions or senior support roles and/or training.

Working Week
37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday (30-minute unpaid lunch break each day). Monday – Thursday – 8:45am – 5pm, Friday 8:45am – 3.45pm.
