£110k - £120k base plus 20% Bonus

DATAHEAD is partnering with a leading global insurer to appoint an Engineering Lead for a newly formed Claims Product Team.
This is not a traditional Delivery Manager role.
We're looking for a hands-on technology leader who can build high-performing teams, drive engineering excellence, remove delivery obstacles, and partner closely with Product and Business stakeholders to deliver meaningful business outcomes.
You'll play a key role in shaping the future of Claims Technology, helping establish a modern product-led operating model while leading the delivery of critical business and regulatory initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own end-to-end delivery across the Claims technology portfolio
- Lead and mentor engineers, technical leads, and delivery teams
- Drive engineering best practices, DevOps adoption, and CI/CD maturity
- Partner with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders
- Manage delivery risks, dependencies, and regulatory requirements
- Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Help grow and mature a newly established product engineering capability
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading Product Engineering, Software Delivery, or Technology teams
- Previous software engineering or technical leadership background
- Strong experience delivering technology change within insurance or financial services
- Experience supporting or delivering Claims-related technology initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Experience with Agile delivery, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices
- Knowledge of enterprise integrations, data platforms, and secure engineering principles

- Guidewire ClaimsCenter
- Sequel Claims
- Pega delivery experience
- Data transformation or cloud-based technology programmes
