Business Operations Apprentice
You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Data Technician - Level 3 Apprenticeship. Duties will include Data management: including maintaining/processing data in an accurate and efficient manor.
Role
- Quote Management: Participate in quoting various queries from customers, network offices, and overseas offices.
- Coordination: Coordinate with carriers for the export/import of projects and general forwarding shipments.
- Shipment Processing: Manage the entire shipment process, including arranging pickups or inland transportation, booking with carriers or overseas offices, preparing documents (Airwaybill,
- Billing Invoice, and/or customs), forwarding, tracking, and tracing to the final destination, ensuring data quality, and identifying problems where authorized.
- Communication: Maintain consistent communication with vendors, customers, carriers, and DB Schenker overseas offices throughout the shipment process.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Maintain SOPs that include the client’s special requirements such as preferred routings/carriers and key contacts.
- Issue Reporting: Immediately report any problems, operational disputes, or discrepancies to the supervisor and head of projects.
- Customer Service: Provide exemplary customer service to all teams, acting as a shared service function within the business.
