Embedded Software Engineer - (Security Cleared)

This is your opportunity to join the UK's leading subsea technology and systems manufacturer, due to an exciting period of growth they are adding an additional Embedded Software Engineer (Security Cleared) to the team. You will play a key part in innovative software projects for a range of high spec marine subsea systems.

Your role:

• Developing software for a range of systems both collaboratively and solo.
• Develop, deploy and maintain in real-time a number of embedded systems whilst remaining in line with company and industry protocols.
• Identify and leverage opportunities for software efficiency improvements such as automation and re-use of code.
• Partner with cross-functional teams throughout the business to enable a best in class software that will be used by customers globally.
• Communication is key, and you will translate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Cooperate with technical leaders to design and develop architectural concepts.
• Maintain and mentor others in best practices for software development.

What you'll need:

• Proven and strong experience in C/C++
• Proven experience with Bare Metal microcontroller development
• Strong experience with DevOps concepts such as virtualisation and docker.
• Hold a degree in Software Engineering, computer science or demonstrate 5+ years in relevant job experience
• You must hold current or be able to pass security clearance.
