Azure Cloud Engineer

Azure Cloud Engineer - £55,000pa - Birmingham/Hybrid

We are currently partnered with a global professional services firm to recruit for an Azure Cloud Engineer.

You will play a key role in supporting, enhancing, and continuously improving a Microsoft Azure cloud platform, with a focus on engineering, automation, security, and operational excellence across business-critical services.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide 3rd line support across a wide range of Azure services including IaaS, PaaS, Terraform, containers, and Azure DevOps
- Build, maintain, and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Automate workflows using Azure tools such as Logic Apps and Functions
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance, availability, and reliability issues in the cloud environment
- Ensure security and compliance standards are met using Azure policies, roles, and permissions
- Contribute to the design and implementation of Azure infrastructure aligned to best practice standards

Key requirements:

- Proven experience in Azure administration/engineering (circa 3+ years)
- Strong knowledge of Azure services including networking (VNets, VPN, private endpoints), compute, and storage
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with CI/CD and version control tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub
- Understanding of cloud security best practices and Azure security tools

Additional details:

- Salary: £55,000
- Location: Birmingham (3 days per week on-site)
- Participation in an on-call rota for major incidents
