Active Directory Engineer
AD Engineer / Active Directory Engineer - 6 Month contract - £675pd (inside IR35)
We are currently partnered with a leading global professional services organisation to recruit for an AD Engineer.
This role will sit within a core infrastructure team responsible for managing and supporting enterprise Active Directory and cloud-integrated platforms across a global environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and support Active Directory infrastructure, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and authentication services
- Support and integrate Azure services such as Entra Connect, Conditional Access and Microsoft Authenticator
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability across core platforms
- Lead on infrastructure improvements, deployments and lifecycle management
- Collaborate with InfoSec teams to ensure compliance and security across the estate
- Act as a senior point of contact, mentoring team members and contributing to team strategy and roadmap
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and standards
Key requirements
- Strong experience with Active Directory in a complex enterprise environment
- Hands-on expertise across Azure AD / Entra, identity and access management, and hybrid environments
- Solid knowledge of Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and infrastructure services
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
- Proven ability to lead projects and support BAU operations
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery and infrastructure best practices
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

- Hybrid working model (approx. 60% office / 40% remote)
